Jazz and fusion keyboardist Joe Zawinul passed away last night at age 75 in his Austrian home. For those of you who are unfamiliar with his work, Joe was famous for playing with Miles Davis and as the founder of Weather Report. Joe had been battling skin cancer for some time. Most of you have probably heard mention of the 2007 Eric Clapton CrossRoads Guitar Festival that took place at Toyota Park in Brideview Illinois on July 28th. The CrossRoads Festivals are held as benefit concerts for Eric Clapton's CrossRoads Center in Antigua. Two have been held to great success, the first of which was in 2004.
